The word of the Week is Green!

Listen up people! We had a contract meeting on Monday and did not really accomplish anything due to some unfortunate delays. Our next meeting is Thursday, April 5th, here's hoping there will not be any interruptions and we can hear their counter proposal to our salary package!

Now the plan on Thursday is we want to see "Green"! We don't care green shirts, blouses, pants, scarves, ties, sweaters etc., as long as you wear green! While we can not wear AFSCME shirts we can wear AFSCME colors-"Green"! While speaking of the color green, have you signed your green card yet?

NO!!!!????

Well let us clue you in unless you signed the green card you can not vote on the contract before it goes before the Board for approval. So for $4.00 less a month in dues ( Tax Deductible) as a Fair Share member you are willing to go along with anything we settle on! Bottom line your thoughts on what you think we should ask for are good, but who cares what you think, because you have not signed a card so you don't really have a voice on what we ask for!

While we are not at the point of agreement on everything- we are close-And what if you don't like what we agree on and vote on!!!! Again if you haven't signed a card-Who Cares What You Think!!!

Here's how it will play out, when we come to an agreement, the members who have signed cards will be able to review and vote on the contract before it goes before the Board for approval. After the fact, those of you who wanted to save that $4.00 a month less in dues will be stuck with whatever we settle on and Still Pay Tax Deductible Dues-$4.00 less a month, but Tax Deductible Dues all the same.

And if you do not like what we agree upon, you got to ask yourself "Did I sign that green card and was I able to vote?" and if the answer is "No!"than our reply will be loud & clear. .."La...La...La...La...La.."and so on and so forth"
